Lauren Calvert, Esq.
Lauren Calvert practices in the areas of litigation, government affairs and corporate transactions.
Prior to joining Rainey Devine, Lauren was an associate with the law firm of Lionel Sawyer & Collins, where she served as the lead associate of the firm’s government affairs division. While working at Lionel Sawyer, Lauren gained experience in a vast array of complex legal matters, including complex civil litigation, gaming and administrative law and general business law matters. Specifically, Lauren was one of the attorneys working directly with Dubai World, the Investment arm of the United Arab Emirates, in navigating its Las Vegas investments, including the MGM/Mirage CityCenter Project. As a gaming law associate, Lauren played an integral role in litigating disputes in both state and federal court, on behalf of major Las Vegas casinos.
Lauren graduated cum laude from the William S. Boyd School of Law in 2007. While still in law school, Lauren externed for the Nevada Supreme Court Justice Michael Douglas and regularly earned awards and accolades from CALI, a consortium of over 170 law schools, dedicated to the integration of technology in legal education.
In 2009, Lauren was awarded the Martin P. Dowling award as volunteer of the year of the Clark County Bar Association. In both 2008 and 2009 Lauren received the Circle of Support award from the Clark County Bar Association, for her work as chairperson of the New Lawyer’s Committee. For the last three (3) years, the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada has honored Lauren with awards for her pro bono work with abused and neglected children.
